Strangers
The horrifying events that took place in the Hoyt family's vacation home at 1801 Clark Road on February 11, 2005, are still not entirely known.
Champagne. Rose petals. Candlelight. It was supposed to be a night of celebration for Kristen McKay (Liv Tyler) and James Hoyt (Scott Speedman). But after leaving a friend's wedding reception and returning to the house, everything had collapsed for the happy couple.
Then came a 4 a.m. knock on the door and a haunting voice.
Is Tamara here?
Writer/director Bryan Bertino explores our most universal fears in The Strangers, a terrifying suspense thriller about a couple whose remote getaway becomes a place of terror when masked strangers invade. The confrontation forces Kristen and James to go far beyond what they thought themselves capable of if they hope to survive.

Despite playing the role of perrenial sideman, often in fine bands that left field much to be coveted in the visibleness department, Mike "Junior" Watson was, and is, one of the well-nigh influential megrims guitarists of his generation. In fact, undermentioned Robben Ford's defection into fusion, Watson was rivaled only by Hollywood Fats as martin Luther King Jr. of the alfred Hawthorne in California and only by Jimmie Vaughan anywhere else. While he and Vaughan have radically different approaches, Watson's Hollywood Fats', as does his ability to blast on the face of it every traditional electric blues elan. But whereas Fats was a sea captain of mimckry, Watson has a spontaneous, original bent grass laced with his oddball sense of humor. After starting out with harper Gary Smith in northern California in the early '70s, he teamed with Rod Piazza's Mighty Flyers (née Flying Sauce Band) for 11 age, where he was instrumental in injecting the Chicago-styled blues band (and countless others in its wake) with ample doses of sweep, culling licks from guitarists Bill Jennings, Tiny Grimes, and Billy Butler. Along the style he gigged with Charlie Musselwhite, Jimmy Rogers, Luther Tucker and others, finally connexion the '80s edition of Canned Heat, with whom he continued to tour until the late '90s.

A Nashville supergroup lED by singers/songwriters Vince Gill and Rodney Crowell, the Notorious Cherry Bombs follow their origins to Emmylou Harris' legendary backup unit the Hot Band. According to fable, upon signing to Warner Bros. in late 1974 Harris was instructed by label execs to tack together "a hot band," and the vocaliser immediately fix just about delivery together the finest session musicians in present-day land. The starting time avatar of the Hot Band -- guitarists Crowell and James Burton, steel guitar player Hank DeVito, piano player Glen D. Hardin, bassist Emory Gordy, Jr., and drummer John Ware -- made its debut behind Harris during a three-night stint at San Francisco's Boarding House in the outflow of 1975; when Burton fell sick the following year, guitar player Albert Lee was named as his transposition, cementing the group's longest-lived and to the highest degree acclaimed embodiment. Although the Hot Band's payroll department reportedly left Harris some cxxv,000 dollars in debt, there's small sceptical that their virtuosity launched her music to unexampled creative heights and accomplished the benchmarks by which all Nashville touring and session bands ar judged. Harris also recorded several of Crowell's songs, and when he left hand the Hot Band in 1980 to cut his s solo LP, Just What Will the Neighbors Think, he attempted to recapture the same esprit de corps by collecting his own jimdandy backing combo, the Cherry Bombs. The introduction lineup included familiar Hot Band alumni DeVito and Gordy as well as guitarists Vince Gill and Richard Bennett, keyboardist Tony Brown, and drummer Larrie London. The Cherry Bombs toured slow Crowell as well as his then-wife, Rosanne Cash, just disdain critical herald, Crowell's former solo albums did not sell and the grouping began to sliver. By the mid-'80s, only Gill and Gordy remained, although Brown returned to produce 1988's Diamonds & Dirt, the record album that eventually domed Crowell to commercial-grade success. While Gill before long mounted an hugely democratic solo life history of his own, fetching a record-tying 14 Grammy Awards, Brown emerged as one of the premier Nashville producers of his generation, helming roger Huntington Sessions for Lyle Lovett, George Strait, and Reba McEntire. Gordy and Bennett also compiled distinguished output résumés, spell DeVito channeled his energies into songwriting, authoring Juice Newton's crossover nail "Queen of Hearts," before making his mark as a photographer. London continued his session career and likewise conducted metal drum clinics crossways the country. Sadly, during one such event in April 1992, he suffered a monolithic bosom attack and lapsed into a comatoseness, dying on August 24 of that twelvemonth. Fast forward to 2003, and at the annual ASCAP Awards feast in Nashville, the Cherry Bombs reunited onstage for the number one clock time in iI decades. The get inspired the group to re-enter the studio, with longtime Crowell bassist Michael Rhodes posing in for Gordy, wHO declined to take part, and drummer Eddie Bayers performing the tympan kit that in one case belonged to London, to whose retentivity the project was dedicated. (Keyboardist John Hobbs completed the lineup.) Due to sound concerns, their self-titled debut album was credited to the Notorious Cherry Bombs upon its 2004 outlet.

Summit looking to adapt DC comic
Brothers Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber are writing the actioner, which will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and longtime Di Bonaventura Pictures exec Mark Vahradian.
The project marks the first time that a DC Comics title is leaving parent company Time Warner's fold. Still, DC will remain an active participant in its adaptation. DC senior vp creative affairs Gregory Noveck is serving as exec producer and will oversee "Red."
The three-issue comic series, published in 2003, told the story of a former black-ops CIA agent now living a quiet life in retirement until the day a high-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his secret identity compromised and his love interest in danger, the man must reassemble his old team to figure out who is out to get them. The book was written by Warren Ellis, whose comic "Ocean" is set up at Warner Bros., and illustrated by Cully Hamner.
The Hoebers' take involves the idea of an older operative set in his ways having to contend with younger and more fit agents as well as modern techniques and technology.
It took almost two years of wrangling to extricate the book out of the Warners fold.
Di Bonaventura is in production on "G.I. Joe" and is producing "Transformers 2" with Don Murphy and Tom De Santo.
The Hoebers most penned "Whiteout," a comic adaptation starring Kate Beckinsale that is due out this year. They also worked on "The Pact" for Working Title and "Alice" for Universal. The brothers are repped by Endeavor and the Cheng Caplan Co.
Summit president of production Erik Feig and Summit senior vp production Geoff Shaevitz are overseeing the project for the studio.
